®The LT 1308A / LT1308B is a micro-power, fixed-frequency boost DC/DC converter that operates from a 1V to 10V input voltage range. They are an improved version of the LT1308 and are recommended for use in a variety of new designs. LT1308A automatically transitions to an energy-efficient burst mode of operation at light loads and consumes only 140μA at no load. The LT1308B, on the other hand, is capable of continuous conversion at light loads and operates at a quiescent current of 2.5mA. Both devices consume less than 1μA in downtime.
The low battery level detector is significantly more accurate than the LT1308. The 200mV reference at room temperature is specified at ±2% and ±3% over the entire operating temperature range. The shutdown pin enables the device when connected to a 1V or higher voltage source (rather than the VIN as it was on the LT1308). An internal VC clamping circuit improves transient response and increases the switching voltage rating to 36V, allowing for applications with higher output voltages.
The LT1308A/LT1308B are available in 8-lead SO and 14-lead TSSOP packages.
