™The LT 1317/LT1317B is a micropower, fixed-frequency step-up DC/DC converter that operates over a wide input voltage range of over 1.5V to 12V. The LT1317 has automatic transfer to power-saving burst mode" operation on light loads. Maintain high efficiency over a wide range of 300μA to 200mA load range. The peak switching current during burst mode operation remains below most operating conditions at low output voltage ripple results in 250 mA, even at high input voltages. The LT1317B does not transfer to burst mode operation, eliminating low-frequency output ripple at the expense of efficiency at light loads. The LT1317/LT1317B includes an internal low-voltage detection and a 200mV reference when the device enters shutdown when it is kept alive. The quiescent current of the no-load LT1317 is 100μA with 30μA off. The internal NPN power switch handles a 500mA current with a voltage drop of only 300mV. The LT1317/LT1317B is available in MS8 and SO-8 packages.
