® The LT 1373 is a low supply current, high frequency current mode switching regulator. It can operate in all standard switching configurations, including boost, buck, reverse, forward, inverting and "CUK." "On-chip, along with all the oscillators, control and protection circuitry, includes a 1.5A high-efficiency switch. All features of the LT1373 in the 8-pin SO/PDIP package are integrated. The 500kHz LT1372 shoots quiescent current at 4 mA compared to the LT1373's 250kHz switch, typically consumes only 1 mA and has higher efficiency. The high switching frequency allows the use of small inductors. All surface mount components consume less than 0.6 square inches of board space. New design techniques for increased flexibility and ease of maintenance. The switch is easily synchronized to an external logic level source. The logic supply current on one low shutdown pin is reduced to 12μA. A unique error amplifier circuit that regulates the positive or negative output voltage while maintaining a simple frequency compensation technique.
