® The LT1506 is a 500kHz single-chip buck-mode switching regulator with the same functionality as the LT1374, but optimized for low input voltage applications. It compares the LT1374, which operates in the input range from 4V to 15V, to 5.5V to 25V. A 4.5A switch contains all the necessary oscillators, controls, and logic circuits when it dies. The high switching frequency allows for a significant reduction in the size of external components. The topology enables a current pattern with fast transient response and good loop stability. Fixed output voltage and adjustable section. A special high-speed bipolar process and new design technology achieve high efficiency and high switching frequency. Efficiency is maintained within a wide output current range to maintain a quiescent power supply current of 4mA, and uses a power boost capacitor to saturate the power switch. The standard 7-pin DD and fusion led to the SO-8 package of the LT1506. Provides short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown for a full cycle cycle. External components using standard surface-mount materials, including inductors and capacitors. There are optional functions to turn off or sync. A shutdown signal lowers the power supply current to 20μA. Synchronization allows external logic level signals to increase the internal oscillator from 580kHz to 1MHz.
