® The LT 1507 is a 500kHz monolithic buck mode switching regulator with the same functionality as the LT1375, but optimized for low input voltage applications. It will operate over a 4V to 15V input range, compared to the LT1375 from 5.5V to 25V. A 1.5A switch is dead together with all the necessary oscillators, controls, and logic circuitry. The high switching frequency allows the size of external components to be greatly reduced. The topology enables a current mode with fast transient response and good loop stability. Fixed output voltage (3.3V) and adjustable section. A special high-speed bipolar process and new design technology allow this regulation to achieve high efficiency and high switching frequency. The efficiency is maintained over a wide output current range to maintain quiescent supply current of 4mA and to allow saturation of the NPN power switch with a power boost capacitor. A shutdown signal reduces the supply current to 20μA. The LT1507 can be input from an external synchronous logic level from 570kHz to 1MHz. The 8-lead SO and PDIP packages are available in standard LT1507 packages. High efficiency design with minimal temperature rise. Provides short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown with full cycle cycles. Standard surface-mount external components include inductors and capacitors.
