™The LT 1614 is a fixed-frequency, reverse-mode switching reglator that operates from input voltages as low as 1V. Using a low-noise topology, the LT1614 can generate a negative output voltage from 1V to 24V to 5V input. Fixed switching frequency to ensure clean low-frequency noise output. The device contains a low-cell detector with a 200mV reference and a shutdown of less than 10μA. The no-load LT1614 has a quiescent current of 1mA and an internal NPN power switch handle with a voltage drop of only 295mV and a current of 500mA. The high switching frequency allows for the use of small inductors and capacitors. Ceramic capacitors can be used in many applications, eliminating the need for bulky tantalum capacitors.
