™The LT 1614 is a fixed frequency, reverse mode switching reglator that operates from input voltages as low as 1V. Using a low noise topology, the LT1614 can generate a negative output voltage from 1V to 24V to 5V input. Fixed switching frequency ensures clean output of low-frequency noise. The device contains a low battery detector with a 200mV reference and turns off less than 10μA. The no-load LT1614 has a quiescent current of 1mA and the internal NPN power switch handle has a 500mA drop of only 295mV. The high switching frequency allows the use of small inductors and capacitors. Ceramic capacitors can be used in many applications, eliminating the need for bulky tantalum capacitors.
