description

®The LT 1640L/LT1640H is an 8-pin Hot Swap™ hot-swappable negative voltage controller that allows the board to be safely inserted or unplugged from the live backplane. The gate voltage of the external N-channel regulator is controlled to limit the inrush current to the set value. If the input voltage is less than the set undervoltage threshold or greater than the overvoltage threshold, the tube cutoff is adjusted. An electronic circuit breaker can be set to prevent a short circuit in the system. PWRGD (LT1640L) or PWRGD (LT1640H) signals can be used to start the power module directly. LT1640L is designed for input power modules that start at low levels, and LT1640H is designed for power modules that start at high levels.

The LT1640L/LT1640H are available in 8-pin PDIP and SO packages.
