®The LT 1763 series is a low-power, low-noise, low-dropout regulator. These devices are capable of delivering an output current of 500mA and a dropout voltage of 300mV. An important feature of the LT1763 regulator is its low output noise. With the addition of an external 0.01μF bypass capacitor, the output noise is reduced to 20μVRMS (within a bandwidth of 10Hz to 100kHz). The LT1763 regulator provides stability when using output capacitors as low as 3.3μF. Small ceramic capacitors can be used, rather than the need for series resistors like other voltage regulators.
The internal protection circuitry includes reverse battery protection, current limiting, thermal limiting, and reverse current protection.
