description ®The LT 3008 Series is a low-power, low-dropout voltage (LDO) linear regulator. The device provides an output current of 20mA and a dropout voltage of 300mV. The no-load quiescent current is 3μA. When the load increases, the ground pin current remains below 5% of the output current. In shutdown mode, quiescent current is less than 1μA. The LT3008 regulator utilizes low ESR ceramic capacitors with a minimum capacitance value of only 2.2μF required to optimize stability and transient response. The LT3008 does not require additional ESR like other common voltage regulators. The internal protection circuitry includes current limiting, thermal limiting, reverse battery protection, and reverse current protection. The LT3008 series is ideal for applications that require medium output drive capability and ultra-low standby power consumption. The device is available in fixed output voltages of 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V, as well as a version with an adjustable output voltage range of 0.6V to 44.5V. The LT3008 is available in 6-pin DFN and 8-pin TSOT-23 packages.
