LT®The 3008 Series is a micropower, low dropout voltage (LDO) linear regulator. The device can deliver 20mA of output current and a dropout voltage of 300mV. The no-load quiescent current is 3μA. As the load increases, the ground pin current remains below 5% of the output current. In shutdown, quiescent current is less than 1μA.

The LT3008 regulator utilizes low ESR ceramic capacitors requiring a minimum capacitance of only 2.2μF to optimize stability and transient response. The LT3008 does not require additional ESR like other common regulators. Internal protection circuitry includes current limit, thermal limit, reverse battery protection, and reverse current protection.

The LT3008 family is ideal for applications requiring medium output drive capability and ultralow standby power consumption. The device is available in fixed output voltages of 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V, and a version with an adjustable output voltage range from 0.6V to 44.5V. The LT3008 is available in 6-lead DFN and 8-lead TSOT-23 packages.
