The LT3013 is a high-voltage, low-dropout linear regulator with low power consumption. The device is capable of providing a 250mA output with a 400mV dropout voltage current. The low quiescent current (65μA operation and 1μA shutdown) makes the LT3013 an ideal choice when using battery-powered or high-voltage system designs. Static currents also control dropouts well.

Other features of the LT3013 include a PWRGD flag to indicate output regulation. The delay between the regulated output level and the indicator flag is programmable with a single capacitor. The LT3013 also features output capacitors with very small operating capability. The regulator is only 3.3μF output stable and needs to be stabilized, while the oldest equipment is between 10μF and 100μF. Small ceramic capacitors can be used without any series resistance (ESR) common needs with other regulatory agencies. The internal protection circuitry includes battery reverse protection, current limiting, thermal limiting, and reverse current protection.

The device offers an adjustable output with a 1.24V reference voltage. The LT3013 regulator offers excellent thermal characteristics in a thermally enhanced 16-lead TSSOP and a low profile (0.75mm), 12-pin (4 mm× 3mm) DFN package.
