LT^®3080 是一款 1.1A 低压差线性稳压器，可直接并联以增加输出电流或在表面贴装型电路板上散播热量。该新型稳压器被设计为一款精准电流源和电压跟随器，因而可在许多需要高电流、可调至零且无散热器的应用中使用。而且，该器件还引出了传输晶体管的集电极，以在与多个输入电源一起使用时实现低压差操作 (低至 350mV)。

LT3080 的一个重要的特点是能够提供一个宽输出电压范围。利用流经单个电阻器的基准电流，可以把输出电压设置为 0V 至 36V 之间的任何电平。当在输出端上使用 2.2μF 电容时，LT3080 可实现稳定，而且该 IC 采用了无需额外 ESR 的小陶瓷电容器，而其他稳压器则常常做不到这一点。

内部保护电路包括电流限制和热限制。LT3080 稳压器采用 8 引脚 MSOP (具有一个裸露衬垫以改善热特性)、3mm x 3mm DFN、5 引脚 DD-Pak、TO-220 和使用简单的 3 引脚 SOT-223 封装版本。
