LED series connections provide equal LED current, resulting in uniform display brightness and eliminating the need for additional ballast resistors and costly factory calibrations. 　　 Two independent converters are capable of driving asymmetrical LED strings. Dimming operations for the two LED strings can also be controlled independently. The LT3466 is ideal for backlighting for primary and secondary displays in cellular phones and other handheld devices. 　　 An external resistor can be used to set the LT3466 to operate in the range of 200kHz to 2MHz. The low feedback voltage of 200mV minimizes the power consumption of the current-setting resistor, resulting in increased efficiency.
