description

®The LT 3492 is a three-channel output DC/DC converter designed to be used as a constant current source, making it ideal for driving LEDs. The LT3492 can operate in buck, boost, or buck-boost modes. The LT3492 uses a constant frequency, current-mode architecture that enables stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages. A frequency regulation pin allows users to set the switching frequency in the range of 330kHz to 2.1MHz to optimize efficiency and external component size.

An external PWM input provides 3000:1 LED dimming control on each channel. All three channels have a built-in gate driver to drive an external LED disconnected P-channel MOSFET, providing a high dimming range. The output current range of the LT3492 per channel is set using an external sense resistor.

The CTRL pin is used to regulate the LED current for analog dimming or overheating protection.
