description

®The LT 3597 is a 60V, three-channel step-down LED driver capable of 10,000:1 digital PWM dimming at 100Hz and can drive up to 10 LEDs with a fast NPN current source in each channel. Alternatively, the analog control of the CTRL1-3 pins can be used to implement LED dimming operations.

The buck switching frequency can be set between 200kHz and 1MHz. This frequency can also be synchronized to an external clock. The LT3597 also provides maximum LED brightness while adhering to the manufacturer's thermal derating specifications. The derating temperature is set by routing a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) resistor on the main control pin.

The LT3597 provides adaptive control of VOUT for optimal efficiency. Other features of the device include 2% LED current matching accuracy between channels, open-circuit LED reporting, short-circuit LED protection, programmable LED current, and programmable temperature protection.
