LT^®The 3741 is a fixed frequency, synchronous step-down DC/DC controller designed to accurately regulate output current up to 20A. The average current mode controller will operate at a range of 0V to (V_IN- 2V) over a wide output voltage rangesensorCurrent regulation effect. The regulated current is set by an analog voltage on the CTRL pin and an external sense resistor. The LT3741 uses a unique topology that allows it to source and sink current. The regulated voltage and overvoltage protection circuitry is programmed using a voltage divider connected between the output and the FB pin. The device provides a soft-start function to gradually increase the regulated current during startup. The switching frequency can be programmed from 200kHz to 1MHz with an external resistor on the RT pin or with an external clock signal.

Other features include an accurate external reference voltage for the CTRL pin, an accurate UVLO/EN pin for programmable UVLO hysteresis, and thermal shutdown.
