®The LT 3741 is a fixed-frequency, synchronous step-down DC/DC controller designed to accurately regulate output currents up to 20A. The average current mode controller will maintain sensor current regulation over a wide output voltage range of 0V to (VIN - 2V). The regulated current is set by an analog voltage on the CTRL pin and an external sense resistor. The LT3741 uses a unique topology that allows it to supply and absorb current. The regulated voltage and overvoltage protection function circuitry is set using a voltage divider connected between the output and the FB pin. The device provides a soft-start capability to achieve a gradual increase in the regulated current during start-up. The switching frequency can be set from 200kHz to 1MHz via an external resistor on the RT pin or utilizing the SYNC pin and an external clock signal.

Other features of the device include an accurate external reference for CTRL pins, an accurate UVLO/EN pin (responsible for providing programmable UVLO hysteresis), and thermal shutdown capabilities.
