description

LT®The 3743 is a fixed frequency, synchronous step-down DC/DC controller designed to drive high current LEDs. The average current mode controller will operate at a range of 0V to (VIN– 2V) over a wide output voltage rangeInductorsCurrent regulation effect. LED dimming is achieved using analog dimming on the CTRL_L, CTRL_H, and CTRL_T pins, and PWM dimming on the PWM and CTRL_SEL pins. By using a load capacitor that switches externally, the LT3743 is able to change the adjusted LED current level in a few μs, providing accurate and high speed PWM dimming between the two current levels. The switching frequency is programmable from 200kHz to 1MHz with an external resistor on the RT pin.

Other features include voltage regulation and overvoltage protection set using a voltage divider connected between the output and the FB pin. Overcurrent protection is provided and programmed by the CTRL_H pin.
