• Description ®The LT 6100 is a complete micro-power, precise, high-voltage side current sensing amplifier. The LT6100 uses an external resistor to detect the voltage across the resistor to monitor unidirectional current. Simply select lap or float pins using two gains to achieve fixed gains of 10, 12.5, 20, 25, 40, and 50V/V. For all gains, the gain accuracy is better than 0.5%. The LT6100 detection input features a voltage range extending from 4.1V to 48V and can withstand a differential voltage equal to the full supply voltage. This allows it to monitor the voltage across a MOSFET switch or fuse. The device can also withstand battery reverse conditions at the input end. Input offset is very low, only 300μV. Both CMRR and PSRR exceed 105dB, enabling a wide dynamic range. A filter pin is provided, designed to easily filter signals using a single capacitor. The LT6100 features a separate power supply input operating from 2.7V to 36V, absorbing only 60μA current. When the VCC is powered off, the detection pin offset is cut off. This prevents loading of the monitoring circuit, regardless of the detection voltage. The LT6100 uses an 8-pin DFN and MSOP package.
