description

®The LT 6105 is a micro-power, accurate current-sense amplifier with a very wide input common-mode range. The LT6105 monitors unidirectional current through an external detection of voltage across the resistor. The input common-mode range extends from -0.3V to 44V (relative to the negative supply voltage V). This allows the LT6105 to function as a high-side current-sense monitor or a low-side current-sense monitor. It also allows the LT6105 to monitor current over a negative supply voltage and continuously monitor a battery from full charge to depletion. The LT6105's input is capable of withstanding differential voltages up to ±44V, making it ideal for monitoring fuses or MOSFET switches. Utilize an external resistor for gain configuration in the range of 1V/V to 100V/V. Input common-mode rejection and supply rejection exceed 100dB, and input offset voltages are less than 300μV. A minimum slew rate of 2V/μs ensures a fast response to unexpected current changes. The LT6105 operates from a stand-alone 2.85V to 36V supply and draws only 150μA. When V+ is powered off, the detection pin is biased to be cut off. This prevents the loading of the monitored circuit (independent of the sense voltage). The LT6105 is available in a 6-lead DFN package and an 8-lead MSOP package.
