To optimize performance and improve functionality in specific applications, the frequency of the internal oscillator has been increased by a factor of 7. Use smaller external capacitors to operate at higher frequencies to save board space. The internal oscillator can also be deactivated to save power. When the 5V input supply current drops to 1.5μA, the OSC pin is connected to GND or V+.
