The LTC™1265 is a monolithic one-step down-current mode DC/DC converter with burst-mode operation with low output current. LTC1265 integrates a 0.3 ohm switch (= 10V V), allowing for up to 1.2A output current. In no-load conditions, the converter consumes only 160μA. In shutdown mode, it typically consumes only 5μA, making this converter ideal for current-sensitive applications. The internal P-channel MOSFET switch is turned on to continuously maximize the life of the battery source. LTC1265 operate in automatic power-saving burst mode to reduce gate charge loss when the load current drops below the level required for continuous operation. The current in the user-programmable inductor is detected through an external current. Operates up to 700kHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors and capacitors.
