description

The LTC ® 1266 family is a synchronous switching regulator controller with automatic Burst Mode ™ operation to maintain high efficiency at low output currents. These devices drive external power MOSFETs with a constant off-time current mode architecture with switching frequencies up to 400kHz, providing constant inductor current ripple. They can drive an N-channel or P-channel upper MOSFET. With an external current sense resistor, the operating current level is user-programmable. Wide input voltage range from 3.5V to 18V (20V max). The constant off-time architecture provides low dropout regulation by limited upper MOSFETstargetRDS(ON),(When using P-channel) of the inductor and the resistance of the current sense resistor. The LTC1266 family combines the highest efficiency of high-current synchronous switching in automatic low current mode operation, known as Burst Mode operation, to reduce switching losses. Standby power consumption is reduced by only 1mW (IOUT = 0)In VIN=5V。 The load current for Burst Mode operation is typically 500mA of 0 mA
