description
LTC1321/LTC1322/LTC1335 low-power CMOS bidirectional transceivers, each with two reconfigurable interface ports. Each can be configured with two single-ended ports, two RS485 differential ports, or one RS485 differential port and one single-ended port. The LTC1321/LTC1322 is available with RS232 or EIA562 compatible single-ended outputs, LTC1335 EIA562 compatible outputs are included, in addition to including an output enable pin that allows receiving logic level output in three states.
The RS232/EIA562 transceiver operates at 120kbaud and is fully compliant with EIA/TIA-562 specifications. RS485 transceivers operate 10Mbaud and are fully compliant with RS485 and RS422 specifications. All interface drivers have short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown protection. An enable pin allows the RS485 driver output to be forced into a high impedance, which is maintained even when the output is forced beyond the power rail or power off. Two driver outputs and receiver inputs ± 10kV ESD protection. A loopback-mode connected drive outputs a receiver input for diagnostic self-test.
