The LTC1327 is an advanced, low power, three-driver/five-receiver EIA/TIA-562 transceiver. Under no-load conditions, the supply current is only 300μA. The charge pump requires only four 0.1μF capacitors.

In shutdown mode, the supply current is further reduced to 0.2μA. All EIA/TIA-562 outputs are assumed to be in shutdown and power-down high impedance states.

The LTC1327 is fully compatible with all EIA/TIA-562 specifications for data rate and overvoltage protection. The transceiver can run at baud rates of up to 120K with a 1000PF//3kohms load. Two driver outputs and receiver inputs are forced up to 25V without damage and can survive up to ± 10kV ESD shocks.
