description

The LTC™1348 is a 3-driver/5-receiver RS232 transceiver with very low supply current. The charge pump requires only 500 0.1μF capacitance. LTC1348 provides a full RS232 output level with a wide supply voltage range of 3V to 5.5V when operating, and the transceiver operates in one of four modes: Normal, Receiver Forbidden, Receive Alive, and Off. In normal or receiver disabled mode, my CC is only at 3.3V and 5V 800μA 600μA without load conditions. In shutdown mode, the supply current is further reduced to 0.2μA. In receive live mode, all 5 receivers have a 15μA supply current. All RS232 outputs assume a high impedance state, either in shutdown or in active mode or when the power is turned off. The receiver output, in the high impedance state of the receiver, is prohibited in the power off or. LTC1348 is fully compatible with all data rates and overvoltage RS-232 specifications. The transceiver operates at a frequency of up to 120kbaud 1000PF, with 3kohms loaded with all drivers. Two driver outputs and receiver inputs, forced to 25V without damage, capable of withstanding multiple ± 10kV ESD shocks.
