The output of the LTC1472 V CC is in three operating states: off, switching between 3.3V and 5V. The VPP output switches between four operating states: 0V, V CC, 12V, and Hi-Z. The output voltage selected is from two sets of digital inputs that are compatible with industry standard PC card controllers (see truth table). LTC1472 VCC outputs are current and VPP outputs can provide up to 1A to 120mA. Both switches have™ built-in current limiting and thermal shutdown protection cards to prevent outlets and power supplies from unexpected short-circuit conditions. LTC1472 is designed to automatically drop to 1μA standby current when both outputs are turned off to save power. A shutdown pin provides power to hold an external 12V VPP in standby mode, except when regulated when needed. LTC1472 is 16 stitches.
