description

The LTC ® 1550/LTC1551 switching capacitive charge pump voltage inverter includes internal linear regulation to minimize output ripple. The output voltage is fixed at 4.1V, and the ripple voltage is typically less than 1mV for polypropylene. LTC1550 is also available in an adjustable output voltage version. LTC1550/LTC1551 Ideal bias voltage generator for gallium arsenide emitting airport effector tubes for portable RF and mobile phone applications. LTC1550/LTC1551 operates from a single 4.5V to 6.5V supply and plots a typical quiescent current of 4.25 mA for a 5V supply. Each device includes a TTL-compatible shutdown pin with a supply current down to 0.2μA typical. LTC1550 shutdown pin, Low Active (SHDN), while LTC1551 Shutdown pin is High (SHDN). Only 4 external components are required: an input bypass capacitor, two 0.1μF charge pump capacitors, and a filter capacitor for a linear regulator output. The adjustable LTC1550 requires two additional resistors to set the output voltage. The LTC1550/LTC1551 will provide up to 10mA output current with a 5V supply while maintaining a 5% guarantee of output regulation± Fixed voltage LTC1550/LTC1551 available in S0 - 8 plastic packages. Adjustable LTC1550 in a 16-pin SSOP.
