The LTC®1595 / LTC1596 / LTC1596-1 is a serial input, 16-bit multiplication current output DAC. LTC1595 has pin-to-pin and hardware compatibility with 12-bit DAC8043 and is available in 8-pin PDIP and SO packages. LTC1596 has pin-to-pin and hardware compatibility with 12-bit DAC8143 / AD7543 and is available in a 16-pin SO wide-body package.

They all have a defined industrial temperature range. The INL sensitivity to the VOS op amp is reduced by 5 times compared to industry-standard 12-bit DACs, so most systems can easily upgrade to true 16-bit resolution and linearity without the need for a higher-precision op amp.
