description
The LTC ® 1649 is a high-power, high-efficiency switching regulator controller optimized using a very low supply voltage. It has a 2.7V to 5V input with a regulated output voltage from 1.26V to 2.5V and provides up to 20A of load current. A typical 3.3V to 2.5V application features more than 90% efficiency from 1A to 10A loads. LTC1649 uses a standard 5V logic-level N-channel external MOSFET, eliminating the need for expensive P-channel or ultra-low threshold devices.
The LTC1649 of its internal switching architecture is identical to the LTC1430 and functionality± with 1% line, load and temperature regulation. User-adjustable current limit without the need for an external low-value inductor resistor. LTC1649 uses a 200kHz switching frequency and voltage mode control to minimize the number and size of external components. Shutdown mode drops to less than 10μA quiescent current.
LTC1649 is in a 16-pinnarrow SO package.
