The LTC ® 1664 is a quadruple accurate, continuously addressed 10-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) integrated in a tiny 16-lead narrow SSOP package. Each buffered DAC draws just over 59μA of total supply current, and also provides DC output current in excess of 5mA and the ability to reliably drive to capacitive loads of 1000pF. Sleep mode further reduces the total supply current to 1μA. Linear Technology's proprietary, intrinsically monotonic voltage interpolation architecture provides excellent linearity while allowing for a very small extrinsic form factor. The ultralow supply current, power-saving sleep mode and very compact size make the LTC1664 ideal for battery-powered applications, while its ease of use, high performance, wide voltage range make it an excellent choice as a general-purpose converter.
