description

The LTC®1669 is a 10-bit voltage output DAC with true buffering rail-to-rail output capability. It uses a single-operation power supply with a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. The reference used for this DAC can be chosen between power supply voltage or an internal bandgap reference. When selecting an internal bandgap reference, the full-scale output voltage range is set to 2.5V. When selecting the power supply as the reference, the output voltage range is set within the power supply voltage. The device features a simple two-wire serial interface compatible with I2C, allowing communication between multiple devices. Dual buffering is applied to internal data registers to enable simultaneous updates for multiple devices immediately. This DAC can be set to low-current power-off mode for systems that wish to save power. Power-on reset ensures the DAC output is at 0V at initial power-up, and all internal registers are reset to zero. LTC1669 and LTC1663 have pin-to-pin compatibility.
