description

LTC®The 1669 is a 10-bit voltage output DAC with true buffered rail-to-rail output voltage capability. It operates from a single supply with a voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. The reference used for this DAC can be selected between supply voltage or an internal bandgap reference. When the internal bandgap reference is selected, the full-scale output voltage range is set to 2.5V. When a power supply is selected as a reference, the output voltage range is set to the supply voltage.

The device has an AND2A simple 2-wire serial interface compatible with C allows communication between multiple devices. Internal data registers are double-buffered to allow simultaneous updates to multiple devices at once. The DAC can be placed in a low-current power-down mode for systems that wish to save power.

A power-on reset ensures that the DAC output is at 0V at initial power-up and that all internal registers are cleared. The LTC1669 and LTC1663 have pin-to-pin compatibility.
