The LTC®1702 is an ideal two-channel switching regulator for low input voltage and high efficiency, and contains two complete, independent switching regulator controllers, each driving a pair of external N-channel MOSFETs in a voltage-based feedback synchronous step-down. LTC1702 Operating at 550kHz with fixed-frequency true pulse-width modulation (PWM) switching, it minimizes external component size and cost reduction, and improves load transient performance. When the output load decreases, this synchronous buck structure automatically enters intermittent operation and then burst® mode to ensure maximum efficiency over a wide load current range.

LTC1702 features an internal reference voltage fine-tuned to 0.5% to make the converter output voltage regulation better than 1%, an open-drain logic output to indicate whether the output voltage of any channel has risen to within 5% of the final output voltage, and an optional latching FAULT to protect the load if the output voltage rises to more than 15% of the expected voltage. Each channel can be independently selected; When both channels are prohibited at the same time, LTC1702 shuts down and the supply current drops below 100μA.
