description

The LTC®2704-16 / LTC2704-14 / LTC2704-12 are serial input, 16 / 14 / 12-bit, voltage-output SoftSpanTM DACs that operate from 3V to 5V logic and ±5V to ±15V analog operating supplies. SoftSpan offers 6 output ranges (2 single poles and 4 double poles), all of which can be programmed via a three-wire SPI serial interface. INL is accurate to 1LSB (2LSB for LTC2704-16). All device versions have DNL accuracy of up to 1LSB. The readback command can verify any on-chip register in just one 24-bit or 32-bit instruction cycle. All other commands generate a "rolling readback" response from LTC2704, which dramatically reduces the number of instruction cycles required.

The sleep command allows you to turn off any DAC combination. There is also a reset marker and offset adjustment pin for each channel.
