description

The LTC®2756 is an 18-bit multiplication serial input, current-output digital-to-analog converter. Without any adjustments, the LTC2756A provides full 18-bit performance (±1LSB INL and DNL max) over the entire temperature range. All performance classes guarantee 18-bit monotonicity. The SoftSpanTM DAC operates from a 3V to 5V single-operating supply and offers six output ranges (up to ±10V) that can be set via a three-wire SPI serial interface, or pin-overlap to operate in one output range.

Read the contents of any on-chip register, including DAC output range setpoints, for verification in just one instruction cycle; Also, if you change the register content, the changed register will be automatically read back in the next instruction cycle.

In addition, the device also provides voltage-controlled offset and gain adjustment functions; Moreover, both the power-on reset circuit and the CLR pin reset the DAC output to 0V, regardless of the output range.
