Its operating range is very suitable for single-cell lithium-ion batteries. A precise coulomb meter is responsible for integrating the current flowing through a detection resistor located between the battery's positive terminal and the load or charger. The measured charge is stored in internal registers. An SMBus/I2C interface is used for device access and configuration. LTC2941 Programmable high charge threshold and low charge threshold for cumulative charge. If a threshold is exceeded, the device will use the SMBus alarm protocol or set a marker in the internal status register to send the alarm signal.
