  • description

    LTC®The 3101 is a complete power management solution for low-power portable devices. It includes 3 high-efficiency switching DC/DC converters that seamlessly switch from battery to USB/wall adapter power when available. A synchronous buck-boost regulator provides full flexibility, allowing operating voltage to be obtained from a single Li-Ion/Li-Polymer battery, two to three AA batteries, a USB port, or any other power supply with an operating range of 1.8V to 5.5V.

    Two "Always running"The output, a 50mA LDO, and a 200mA (max) output that tracks the higher voltage input supply are responsible for powering critical functional circuitry or additional external regulators. Flash cards can be powered directly from protected 100mA hot-swappable outputs. Pushbutton control logic and a programmable duration microprocessor reset generator simplify connection to the microprocessor, while internal sequencing and separate enable pins provide flexible power-up options. The LTC3101 is available in a low profile (only 0.75mm height) 24-lead 4mm × 4mm QFN package.
