• description

  LTC^®The 3210 is a low noise charge pump DC/DC converter designed to drive four main LEDs and one high current CAM LED for camera lighting. The LTC3210 requires only four small ceramic capacitors and two current setting resistors to form a complete LED supply and current controller.

  Internal soft-start circuitry prevents excessive inrush current during start-up and mode changes. The high switching frequency allows the use of small external capacitors. Independent master and camera full-scale current settings are set by two external resistors. The shutdown mode and current output level are selected through two logic inputs.

  The full-scale current flowing through the LED is programmed using an external resistor. Transform ENM and ENC pin levels to regulate LED current through internal counters and DACs. When both the ENM and ENC pins are low for 150μs (typical), the device is powered off.

  The charge pump optimizes efficiency based on the voltage across the LED current source. The device powers up in 1x mode and automatically switches to boost mode when any enabled LED current source begins to enter a dropout state. The LTC3210 is available in a 3mm × 3mm 16-lead QFN package.
