    LTC®The 3220/LTC3220-1 are highly integrated multidisplay LED drivers. These devices include a high efficiency, low noise charge pump to power up to 18 general-purpose LED current sources. The LTC3220/LTC3220-1 require only five small ceramic capacitors to form a complete LED supply and current controller.

    The LED current is set by an internal precision current reference. Independent dimming, on/off, flickering, and grayscale control of all general-purpose current sources pass I2C serial interface to implement. A 6-bit linear DAC can be used to independently adjust the brightness level of each general-purpose LED current source.

    The LTC3220/LTC3220-1 charge pumps optimize efficiency based on the voltage across the LED current source. These devices power up in 1x mode and automatically switch to boost mode when any enabled LED current source begins to enter a dropout state. The first voltage drop will convert the devices to 1.5x mode, and subsequent drops will switch the LTC3220/LTC3220-1 to 2x mode. When a bit of data passes through I2When the C port is updated, these devices are reset to 1x mode.
