• description

  The LTC®3454 is a synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter optimized to drive a single high-power LED from a single lithium-ion battery input at currents up to 1A. Depending on the input voltage and LED forward voltage, this regulator can operate in synchronous buck, synchronous boost, or buck-boost modes. It can achieve PLED/PIN efficiency above 90% across the entire usable voltage range of a single lithium-ion battery (2.7V to 4.2V).

  You can use two external resistors and two enable inputs to set the LED current to one of four values (including shutdown). In shutdown mode, no power current is consumed.

  The high constant operating frequency of 1MHz allows for the use of small external components. LTC3454 uses a flat, heat-resistant enhanced 10-pin (3mm x 3mm) DFN package (height only 0.75mm).
