description

The LTC®6409 is a very high-speed, low-distortion differential amplifier. The device's input common-mode range includes ground potential, so DC coupling, level shifting, and conversion of a ground-referenced input signal can be implemented to differentially drive an ADC. The gain and feedback resistors are external, allowing for precise gain and frequency response for each application. For example, the amplifier can be externally compensated in an overshoot-free configuration, which is necessary in certain time-domain applications. LTC6409 has a stable differential gain with a value of 1. In applications where gain is not required, this enables low output noise. The device draws 52mA of supply current and has a hardware shutdown feature that reduces current consumption to 100μA. LTC6409 is available in a compact 3mm x 2mm 10-pin leadless QFN package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
