description

The LTM®4609 is a high-efficiency, switch-mode, buck-boost power supply. The package includes a switch controller, power FET, and supporting components. LTM4609 operates in an input voltage range of 4.5V to 36V, supporting an output voltage range of 0.8V to 34V (set by a resistor). This high-efficiency design provides up to 4A of continuous current in boost mode (10A in buck mode). Design can be completed using only inductors, detection resistors, and large-capacity input and output capacitors.

Thanks to the flat packaging, unused space at the bottom of the PC board can be utilized to achieve high-density load point adjustment. The use of high switching frequency and current mode architectures enables fast transient response to voltage and load changes without sacrificing stability. The frequency of the LTM4609 can be synchronized with an external clock to reduce unnecessary frequency harmonics.

Fault protection features include overvoltage protection and turnback current protection. This DC/DC μModule® regulator comes in a compact, heat-resistant enhanced 15mm x 15mm x 2.8mm LGA and 15mm x 15mm x 3.42mm BGA packages. LTM4609 is a lead-free device and compliant with RoHS standards.
