description

LTM^®The 4612 is an EN55022 Class B compliant high voltage input and output, 5A switch-mode DC/DC power supply. The switch controller, power FETs, inductor, and all supporting components are included in the package. The LTM4612 operates from an input voltage range of 5V to 36V and supports an output voltage range of 3.3V to 15V, set by a single external resistor. Only high-capacity input and output capacitors are required to complete the design.

The high switching frequency and an adaptive on-time current mode architecture enable fast transient response to voltage and load changes without sacrificing stability.

Built-in input filters and noise cancellation circuitry enable low-noise coupling, effectively reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI)—see Figures 4 and 8. In addition, the DC/DC μModule can also be made^®Synchronizes with an external clock to reduce unwanted frequency harmonics and allow PolyPhase execution^®Operation to provide high load current.

The LTM4612 is available in a space-saving thermally enhanced 15mm × 15mm × 2.8mm LGA package, allowing unused space on the bottom of the pc board for high density point-of-load regulation. The LTM4612 is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
