The package includes a switching controller, power FETs, inductors, and all supporting components. This dual-channel, 4A, DC/DC converter operates from an input voltage range of 2.375V to 5.5V. LTM4614 can support an output voltage range of 0.8V to 5V. The regulator output voltage is set by a single resistor used for each output. Designs can be completed with only high-capacity input and output capacitors. The low profile (only 2.82mm in height) enables the use of unused space on the back of the PC board for high-density point-of-load adjustment. Other features of the device include overvoltage protection, foldback overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, and programmable soft-start function. The power module is available in a space-saving, thermally enhanced 15mm x 15mm x 2.82mm LGA package.
