description

The LTM®4619 is a complete dual-channel, 4A step-down switch-mode DC/DC power supply. The package includes a switching controller, power MOSFETs, inductors, and all supporting components. The LTM4619 operates over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 26.5V and supports two outputs ranging from 0.8V to 5V, each set by a single external resistor. Its high-efficiency design delivers 4A of continuous current (peak 5A) to each output.

The use of high switching frequencies and a current-mode architecture enables fast transient response to voltage and load changes without sacrificing stability. The phase difference between the two outputs is 180° to minimize ripple noise and reduce I/O capacitors. The device supports frequency synchronization and output voltage tracking for power rail sequencing. Under light load conditions, there is an option to perform burst mode operation or pulse hop mode.

Fault protection features include over-voltage protection, over-current protection, and foldback current limiting to provide short-circuit protection.

The flat package (only 2.8mm in height) enables the use of unused space on the bottom of the PC board for high-density point-of-load adjustment. The power module is available in a space-saving and thermally enhanced 15mm x 15mm x 2.8mm LGA package. LTM4619 are lead-free devices and are RoHS compliant.
