The SEPIC controller's fixed-frequency, current-mode architecture provides stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages, as well as soft-start and frequency foldback functions to limit inductor current during start-up and output shorts. The LTM8008 also includes six high-performance, fixed-output LDOs for rear regulation: 1 x 5V/500mA, 1 x 3.3V/300mA, and 4 x 5V/150mA. Internally, set the output of the SEPIC controller to 5.6V for optimal efficiency. In addition to providing these outputs, SEPIC converters are capable of delivering an additional current of up to 500mA to the system load. LTM8008 is available in a compact (15mm x 15mm) and low profile (only 2.82mm height) molded resin pad grid array (LGA) package with enhanced heat resistance for automated assembly using standard surface mount equipment.
