The package includes a switch controller, power switch, inductor, and all supporting components. The LTM8027 operates over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 60V (minimum starting voltage is 7.5V), supports output voltages up to 24V, and a switching frequency range of 100kHz to 500kHz, each set by a single resistor. A complete design is achieved with only high-capacity input and output filter capacitors. The low profile (height of only 4.32mm) allows for high-density point-of-load adjustment by utilizing unused space at the bottom of the PC board. The built-in soft-start timer can be adjusted with the help of a small capacitor.
