description

The LTM®9003 is a 12-bit digital pre-distorted μModule® receiver subsystem used in the transmit path of a cellular base station. The device uses an integrated system-in-package (SiP) technology with a downconversion mixer, wideband filter, and analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The system is tuned for a 184MHz intermediate frequency (IF) and a signal bandwidth up to 125MHz. This 12-bit ADC has a sample rate of up to 250Msps. For custom configurations, please consult Linear Technology.

High-signal downconversion active mixers are optimized for high-linearity, wide dynamic range IF sampling applications. It includes a differential LO buffer amplifier to drive a dual-balanced mixer. Wideband, integrated converters on RF and LO inputs provide a single-ended 50Ω interface. Internally, the RF and LO inputs are matched to 50Ω (from 1.1GHz to 1.8GHz).

The CLK input controls the converter operation and can be differentially driven or single-ended. An optional clock duty cycle stabilizer achieves high performance at full speed and multiple clock duty cycles.
