The M221 is a bidirectional, single-pole, single-throw, normally open in a small form factor package with 4 multi-purpose miniature solid-state relay pins. It is used to replace electromechanical relays in general-purpose switching applications. The relay consists of an integrated driver circuit, two robust source-to-source-enhanced DMOS transistors – opto-coupled to a light-emitting diode. The protection and freewheeling diodes of the output MOS transistors can handle up to 5A of inrush current, making them ideal for switching light relays and highly inductive loads. Features Ultra-small 4-pin small form factor package Low input control power consumption (2.5mA typical) Maximum continuous load current of 140mA 20 ohms Maximum on-resistance High input-to-output isolation (1.5kV minutes) RoHS compliant / Lead-free / REACH compliant Applications Telecom Switching Prompt/Loop Control PCMCIA Modules Multiplexers Meter Reading Systems Data Acquisition Medical Devices Battery Monitoring Home/Safety Assurance Systems
