Video Y/C drive and chroma silent summer

description

MAX11503 is a summer Y/C and chroma silent low-power video amplifier. The device accepts S-video or Y/C inputs and summarizes into a composite CVBS signal that can be connected directly to the brightness (Y) and chroma (C) signals of the TV monitor. MAX11503 driver 2 terminates 75Ω video coaxial cable.

MAX11503 features include chroma muting, power saving, SAG correction. Chroma chroma buffer mute disabled. If the device uses a camera app that combines Y and C signals, the chroma is muted and can be used in low light conditions. This will remove all chroma including bursts, resulting in downstream composite video decoders and the brightness of the video signal is only interpreted as, improving image quality. SAG correction, allowing the use of small output capacitors in AC-coupled output applications.

MAX11503 operates from a single 2.7V to 5.25V power supply, specified over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is available in a small 8-pin μMAX® package.
