The MAX11506/MAX11507 integrated filters provide six channels, three standard-definition (SD) video, and three SD or high-definition (HD) video, including +6 dB output buffer, on each channel. These video filters are ideal for anti-aliasing and DAC smoothing applications such as set-top boxes, digital video recorders, DVD players, personal video recorders.

The MAX11506/MAX11507 video inputs feature transparent clamps that are compatible with AC and DC-coupled input signals and allow direct coupling of the DAC outputs. The filter provides -3dB for the SD filter for the 9.0MHz HD filter and 33MHz bandwidth. Each channel contains a gain of +6 dB capable of driving 2V into a 150Ω video loadPPinto a video signal output buffer. The buffer drives either AC or DC coupled loads and guarantees a blanking level after a 1V or below 1V back-end matching resistor. DC coupling eliminates bulky coupling capacitors.

The MAX11506 provides a flat pass-band roll-off system, while the MAX11507 features a 0.8dB sharpened SD that only three channels to compensate. The MAX11506/MAX11507 operate from a single +5 V supply and operate at commercial temperatures ranging from 0°C to +70°C. The MAX11506/MAX11507 are available in a 16-pin QSOP package.
