MAX11507 Low-cost, 6-channel SD plus selectable HD/SD video filter and buffer

description

The MAX11506/MAX11507 integrated filter provides six channels, three standard definition (SD) video and three SD or high definition (HD) video, including +6 dB output buffer, on each channel. These video filters are ideal for anti-aliasing and DAC smoothing applications such as set-top boxes, digital recorders, DVD players, personal recorders.

The MAX11506/MAX11507 video inputs have transparent clamps that are compatible with AC and DC coupled input signals and allow for direct coupling of DAC outputs. The filter provides a -3dB 9.0MHz HD filter with SD filter and 33MHz bandwidth. Each channel contains a gain of +6 dB and is capable of driving a 150Ω video load to provide a 2V PP as a video signal output buffer. The buffer drives either AC or DC coupled loads and guaranteed sub-1V rear end matching resistors after blanking levels. DC coupling eliminates bulky coupling capacitors.

MAX11506 offers a flat pass-through roll-off system, while MAX11507 feature 0.8 dB sharpening SD only three channels to compensate. MAX11506/MAX11507 operates from a single +5 V supply and can operate in commercial-grade temperatures from 0°C to +70°C. MAX11506/MAX11507 is available in a 16-pin QSOP package.
